The Socialist Workers Party is petitioning to place its nominee, Chris Hoeppner, on the ballot for U.S. House in Pennsylvania’s Third District. The requirement is 1,000 signatures. Assuming the drive succeeds, this will be the first the time SWP has appeared on the ballot in a Pennsylvania U.S. House race since 1998.

Surprised it isn’t John Waldenberger.
Hoeppner ran for the Congressional Seat in New York left vacant when Anthony Weiner was caught shipping photos of his digit over the internet and was run out of Washington DC. Hoeppner was able to amass 7000 Signatures in something like 10 Days. A Republican wound up winning the seat. The first Republican to hold that seat in something like 80 Years. That was a weird election from the word go.
