2. Is the New Hampshire Secretary of State going to count the combined vote total of the two Libertarians running for the same office for the 4% vote test for ballot retention or not? I heard they were not going to count them combined, but I am not sure if this is accurate.

   Jordan Willow Evans, at Independent Political Report, says she called the New Hampshire Secretary of State’s office and they will add the vote together to see if the Libertarian Party is ballot-qualified following the November 8, 2022 election. The language of the law seems to determine that. It says, “Party shall mean any political organization which at the preceding state general election received at least 4% of the total number of votes cast for any one of the following: the office of governor or the offices of U.S. Senators.

9. I’m not sure how you can reckon that the two different LPs in NH are one “political organization” since they’re totally unaffiliated with each other and neither even claims to be part of the same org or party as the other.

   Probably moot when they don’t combine for over 4% anyway. But still. Using the same ballot label doesn’t make them a single organization, and the law says “organization” singular. This might be distinguishable from past cases of splinter nominations from people still within and members of the same party.
