The Green Papers Has Vote Totals for U.S. House for All Candidates — 10 Comments

  1. When I try to see the election results on the Libertarian Party website I keep getting messages that the site can’t be reached. Has anyone else been able to view the election part of that website?

  2. The Green Papers did a fantastic job with this report. I just note that this computation uses only 11/8 votes. Alternatively, one could compute the U.S. House popular vote by the first phase of each state’s general election. This would mean using the previous results in Alaska, California, and Washington. Arguably, that alternate computation would better report true popular will.

  3. I can’t believe the Green Party was limited to 15% against a deceased opponent. That’s amazing to me.

  4. If the US House had proportional representation, with a 1% minimum to gain a seat, the Republicans would have 227 seats, and the Democrats would have 208, based on these numbers.

  5. If the House had proportional representation with a 0.2% minimum to gain a seat (about 1/435), the Libertarians would have 3 seats, independents 2, and 1 other

    It could be that the national party is trying to decide whether or not to post the returns of candidates who ran on the Libertarian label, but were not endorsed by a recognized affiliate party.
