Oregon Senator Suzanne Weber (R-Tillamook) has introduced SB 499. It moves the primary for all office from May to the first Tuesday in March. Thanks to FrontloadingHQ for this news.
The bill would have no effect on minor party petition dates or nominating convention dates.
I think every primary should happen the Tuesday after Labor Day.

Each party in each state should be able to choose the date of its own primary.
…or however else they want to determine their candidates, whether that be an online poll, closed door secret meeting of the party executive committee, open elimination group wrestling ring, coin toss, member lottery, or whatever other method they come up with.
