Detroit News Article Says Michigan’s Straight-Ticket Device Will Injure No Labels

On December 16, the Detroit News published a story that says the Michigan straight-ticket device will make it difficult for No Labels to poll a high share of the vote if No Labels runs someone for president in 2024. The story says that year after year, between 55% and 60% of Michigan voters use the straight-ticket device.

The article is a rare acknowledgement that straight-ticket devices injure minor party and independent candidates. The article is behind a pay wall, but here is a link. The only other states with straight-ticket devices are Alabama, Indiana, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and South Carolina.

No Labels leader Pat McCrory was interviewed on Detroit’s Channel 4, and he said that in Michigan, No Labels will not qualify as a party, but instead will put its eventual presidential nominee on the ballot in Michigan as an independent. There is no straight-ticket device for independent candidates. Furthermore, independent candidates in Michigan appear on the ballot below all the party nominees.

  1. They’re also about the only states left where most people both are and actually act straight instead of gay, bi, tranny , metrosexual, nonbinary, furry, pedo, cuomosexual, and all the other 31 flavors of guano glazed and confused.

  2. They only act “straight” til they go back out on the woodpile by the barn on the back 40. Trust me, it’s an act. Don’t ask me how I know, either.

  3. That’s you, bubba. Every flock gotta have its black sheep tho. Me, I’m super straight, like all my super straight bros and kinfolk.

For all y’all who for real straight, tell all straights to go Super Straight (SS for ifn y’all gots to abbreviate it) and vote the Super Straight Straight Party Ticket straight away and straight up every time and to spread the Super Straight Straight Ticket gospel far and wide. The rainbows will not replace us!

  4. I don’t know how y’all do it up north, and frankly, my dear, I don’t give a Damn, but here deep down in the loins of Dixie, we too believe and practice the Super Straight Straight Ticket philosophy and spreading its gospel by completely fusing church and state. If the South would a won we’d a had it made.

Down here, we do believe in labels, and In sticking them on everyone and everything. I just don’t see no labels flying with the good folks here. It just ain’t a good fit. Prove me wrong.

I’ve heard folks say South Cackalackee is too small to be a country and too big to be a mental assylum. I don’t agree on either account.

There are numerous nation states throughout many parts of the world which are smaller in geographic extent, population, or both than is South Carolina. Many of these are quite prosperous and peaceful, wonderful places. Some have had their nationhood for centuries.

Precisely why, praytell, would South Carolina not qualify for nationhood, other than the damn Yankees trying to keep us in their cursed union by force ???

As for mental asylum, I don’t want to get into debating whether or not we would be the world’s largest ever mental asylum or not. I don’t feel like doing all the research needed to be sure one way or the other or taking anyone’s word for it. People and references are all known to lie more then a little bit. And anyhow so what if we set a new record? Someone has to eventually.

I’ve been told , and I don’t know this for a fact either, that Michigan means mentally ill in the Jew language. If that’s even remotely true, I’m reasonably sure they are bigger then we are. I’ve been from one end of South Carolina to the other , and in every county and town in betwixt, many a time.

And one time up in Michiganeh I went from Hillsdale in the South on up through urban neighborhoods in Detroit and Flint all the way to the Ooper Penninsila which I then traversed from one end to the other by snowmobile.

And you can believe me or go find out for yourself , but them Yankee Michiganehs have way more land, buildings, folks, nigras, farm animals, and anything else you may or may not want to count. The way I look at it, that makes them a way bigger AZylum than what we got going on down here.

Y’all have a blessed and merry Christmas and remember to not forget the Christ part of Christmas. He is after all the reason for the season, not the pagan Yule tree celebrating the heathen German gods, not the Jew run orgy of consumerism, not getting blind drunk on new years, and not the commie atheist generic “holidays” they recently invented as part of their Luciferian War on Christmas.

In the name of Jesus, segregation, and all that is holy: stay Super Straight, and if at first you don’t secede, try and try again!

  5. EARLIER – RR MICH LEGISLATURE HAD REPEALED STATUTORY STRAIGHT PARTY VOTE STUFF.

DONKEY STRAIGHT PARTY STUFF WAS PUT INTO 1963 MICH CONST AS A PART OF OTHER *REFORM* STUFF.

  6. Are there any stats that show whether the straight ticket is used more often in high volume precincts?

It seems to me that voters who have to spend a long time in line will just pull the straight ticket device to get done as quickly as possible.

  7. The gay ticket is often used more often in high volume precincts because you can accommodate a larger number of voters when you can fit 2 or more into a booth at the same time.

  8. They’re not that different than restroom stalls and video store booths if you think about it, especially if you’re into PNP. I always vote gay tocket

  9. That works for straight people too. I like to “vote” together in the booth with my gf Dianna. Sometimes she actually even casts a ballot, but either way, I’m behind her all the way, supporting her choices like any good boy should.

  10. @WZ,

The straight party device likely reinforces straight party voting – that is, it is desirable behavior because it is an option, in fact the first option on the ballot.
