The Forward Party was paying petition circulators in Colorado $8 per signatures. They started out trying to pay $5 per signature but they were having a difficult time finding people to work for that so the pay went up. They actually had mercenary petition coordinators over the petition circulators who were billing them more than $8 per signature and pocketing the difference as override money, so the Forward Party was likely paying them at least $12-$15 per signature, maybe more.
They were paying it forward.
