I seem to recall reading about conflicting strategies. On the one hand were the standard “middle of the road” platitudes about not being a spoiler for either Biden or Trump. But then there was the one where the plan is to do the direct opposite and run “favorite son” Republican(s) in swing states to specifically target Trump. So which is it?

The two largest groups who are dissatisfied with our two parties, are establishment centrists and anti-establishment radicals of various types. Typically these two groups don’t get along, which along with ballot access and electoral reform considerations is why we’re unlikely to have a three-party system.
