I followed a link to one of the articles here, which I don’t think was about ballot access actually, and enjoyed the conversation. I think it was maybe a year ago. I don’t remember what article it was.
I’m currently a Republican, but actually voted third party and independent many times. Parties I’ve been involved in previously to various extent: American/American Independent, Libertarian, Reform, Constitution. The only Republicans I’ve supported for President were Goldwater (I was too young to vote), Reagan, and Trump.

I think vg must think both a first name and a last name is too much, since vg uses only one. As for why he or she thinks you make conservatives look bad, I’m mystified.
I agree. Last names are excessive and make conservatives look bad. Real conservatives only have one name, with two or three letters at most.
They also support Joe Biden, Zelenski, race mixing, transgenders, and oppose shoot on sight policies for illegals. Conservatives who believe in secure borders, secure elections, patriarchal families, Christian Patriotism, White Nationalism, friendship with Russia, etc just make conservativism look bad.
At my senior citizen center nearly all were going to vote for Trump, until I showed them the latest Kennedy literature. Now, they are will vote for Kennedy since I jogged their past memories of the past traumatic assassinations of the Kennedy’s they experienced in their youths. So, goodbye 140 votes for Trump. Hello 140 votes for Kennedy.
They have bad memory, so someone else will change their minds a few more times. Which won’t matter, since you’re not in a “swing state” and Trump will win, easily, without your 140 votes.
Also, it’s dishonest for Kennedy to campaign on his family name. The Kennedy family is supporting Quisling Biden and the demon rats.
