Both Sides in Michigan Libertarian Intra-Party Dispute Ask Sixth Circuit to Expedite the Lawsuit — 30 Comments

  1. The fake party should just give it up and admit that they are not the Michigan affiliate of the libertarians.

  2. I can’t say I blame them. Who wants to go the whole month of April without oral?

  3. How can anyone say the Saliba faction is “fake” when 4 of the party’s 2022 nominees were members of that group, including the nominees for Governor and Secretary of State?

  4. You don’t have to be on the board to run for office. Richard Winger obviously supports the fake Saliba group. He loves communism.

You are starting to get into retard AZ bot territory.

  5. They ran for office during the period when libertarians were taken over by communist which was about 2010 to 2022.

  6. They didn’t just run for office, they were nominated by the Michigan Libertarian Party in 2022 and appeared on the general election ballot as Libertarian nominees.

  7. So, the communists brought a dozen supporters, a few cases of beer and an ounce of weed to the state convention which was held at a Ramada meeting room.

  8. This would be less of an issue if it were easier to build another party and achieve ballot access. It would make losing the dispute less painful.

I think libertarians would have more success without tossing around phrases like “fake party”, “give it up”, “obviously supports the fake group”, “loves communism”, “retard bot”, “taken over by communist” … etc … a political party is not your personal property!

  9. Peter Parker,

Fake news. Ramada meeting rooms cost money, as do beer and weed. They actually brought four commies in an El Camino, recruited a couple of local homeless guys, and scored some boxes of three day old dunkin donuts from a dumpster dive.

The nomination convention took place at a Denny’s. The toastmasters had the meeting room so the libertarians just pushed a couple of tables together. The nomination was almost scuttled when some real libertarians arrived at the Denny’s, but they weren’t sure which tables were the LP so they just left.

  10. Adam Cerini: accurate description is not the cause of lack of libertarian success. The party is not personal property. It is the property of the national organization, as directed by its board in between conventions, and protected by trademark.

  12. In the United States, national parties do not “own” the state parties. The reverse is more true. Of course individual national party bylaws help determine this. But the state parties have all the power; the national party has almost no power. In presidential elections, the state parties choose the candidates for presidential elector and tell the state elections office whom they are pledged to. That is why there are so many instances in history when a state party put a presidential nominee on the ballot even though that person was not the nominee of the national party. This has happened to the Democratic, Republican, Libertarian, Green, Constitution, Farmer-Labor, Reform, American Independent, and American Parties.

  13. Richard should just join the communist party. He obviously hates freedom.

  14. Better yet, they should become the personal slaves of the legitimate party’s officer.

  15. You sound just like an entrepreneur who stepped in manure. Scratch a capitalist shill, find a defender of slavery and fascism. The only answer is true communism and Juche.

  16. Part of my hopes this delayed enough where they can’t out a candidate on the ballot, helping Trump win even bigger.

  19. The Mises Caucus are the real libertarians. The communist gang that took over from 2010/11/12 to 2022 are the fake libertarians.

  20. Michigan, so who cares, right. But which of the two is the Libertarian Party that doesn’t pretend libertine/neo-liberal nonsense like a right to kill your baby, the right to buggery, the right to drug abuse, etc. are libertarian/classic-liberal values?
