On May 9, the Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., campaign said it has more than 8,000 signatures in Ohio, which the campaign believes is enough to qualify. The requirement is 5,000. See this story.

  6. The Cleveland Examiner story says that the campaign will turn in the Ohio petitions closer to the August 7 deadline. Maybe they just want to permit volunteers to keep collecting signatures. A spokesperson for the campaign says that they have a petitioning firm checking that signers are registered.
