Wisconsin Bill to Forbid Out-of-State Circulators for Candidates, Except Presidential Candidates — 10 Comments

  1. This is a great bill. Every state is a sovereign nation state, except when it’s a gerrymander.

  2. Very bad bill. It is also unconstitutional. American citizens do not give up free speech rights when they travel throughout the 50 states, DC and the federal territories. These bans have already been ruled unconstitutional im multiple states and in DC.

  3. That ruling should be overturned. We don’t need any more sex offender hobos with clipboards leering at us, harassing us, and demanding our personal information when we’re shopping. At least keep them in their own states, or better yet their own cities and counties. For that matter, I don’t really see a reason they should be allowed out of their neighborhoods. I certainly wouldn’t want them to be my neighbors.

  4. Anyone who wants to give candidates and minor polutical parties and ballot issue committees a fair shot at making the ballot ought to oppose this, as should anyone who supports free speech.
