Initial GOP opposition bought into SQ836 as simply an open primary with Republicans mainly arguing for preserving closed primaries. I am gratified that a great deal of effort to educate the difference between a regular open primary and the top two jungle primary scheme in SQ836 has paid off.
Today is the deadline for turning in signatures and there are rumblings that they did not get enough.
