Usually Republican Milwaukee Suburb Elects a Democratic Mayor

In another sign of the upcoming “weenies and beans” time for the Republican Party, the voters of Waukesha, Wisconsin, an affluent suburb of Milwaukee elected Alicia Halvensleben, the Democratic president of the city’s Common Council, as Mayort. She defeated State Representative Scott Allen, a Republican, which continues a succession of Trump-era mayoral wins for Democrats.

In your correspondent’s opinion, it is time to retire the saying “All politics is local.” If anything, the reverse is true. Another example: in November 2017, Virginia House of Delegates elections in Northern Virginia were nearly entirely swept by Democrats. Was that due to the incumbent delegates’ voting records in the Virginia House of Delegates? No, it was due to Donald Trump.

Usually Republican Milwaukee Suburb Elects a Democratic Mayor — 68 Comments

  1. The Republican should have pulled a Redpath and have his opponent thrown off the ballot.

  2. Richard Winger insists that the Arizona No Labels Party has appealed a court decision that found its alleged other name invalid. Yet a New York Times article says the party has not yet decided if it will appeal Judge Como’s decision and for now its candidates will appear on the ballot under the No Labels designation. Maybe this website should be called Fake Ballot Access News?

  3. Can’t you read? Your article clearly calls the party Arizona Independent/No Labels Party. Richard Winger is 51% accurate.

  4. Who is the biggest troll? Robert Stock Tom Knapp or Teri Hourihan?

  5. Tom Knapp (aka “stop”) trolling or maybe Teri “blacked” Houlihan. Stock is a Retard too, but not as much as they are.

  6. NY slimes is fake news. So is the stuff pushed by Red Path and Left Winger. Idk about those other paper’s but most of them are fake news.

  7. Because he said so. It’s the same evidence standard Knapp usually uses.

  8. The Shining RedPath moved from the northern Virginia area next to Langley and retired from BIA years ago. He moved first to the suburbs of Chicago then a few years later to NW Ohio near Toledo. He may have unretired as a financial professional or not. We don’t know if he retired from the CIA .

  9. Was he ever in the CIA? How can a commie be in the CIA? Was he a mole? Doesn’t the CIA fight commies?

  10. Why is Teri Hourihan a Retard? Is it because she gets blacked and gets her brains screwed out by a negro or multiple negroes every day?

  11. How can the LP Of Mexico be communist? Doesn’t the l.p. Fight against communism and socialism?

  12. There’s a real LP and a fake LP. Fedpath is part of the fake LP. Check the LP business list

  13. There’s no real L.P. They were totally blacked by black ops feds ever since they were founded as an elaborate joke in the early 1970s. All the LPs are fake.

  14. Martin and Federdon are another fake LP group. They are all fake. A real LP is a contradiction in terms. That would be like an ethical mafia family.

  15. We forgot to say this site’s comments are Retard fetish porn. Oh well, better late than never. Not even a porn parody of the site comments, the actual site comments.

  16. Isn’t the HELPEE “business” list closed for business for those who have no business there?

  17. “Real” l.p.? No fair, you made me spit out my coffee from laughing so hard! Federline, you are a hoot!

There’s no “real L.P.” Just like there is no interracial “real KKK” with diversity, equality and inclusiveness. Only different factions of feds, informants, marks, and dupes sniping at each other impotently.

Just like the different factions of commie parties, nazi parties, not so parties, retard parties, nutso parties, lemon party (the OG LEMON PARTY was the most realest LP ever – look them up) and every other flavor of turd parties.

  18. Knapp is the OG troll. “Real LP.” BEST troll ever. ROFLPERUVIANREDPATH!

  19. Duh. We already covered that. Are you late to the party as usual? Go take a Knapp.

  20. Well, given how atrocious the modern-day GOP are, that’s not remotely shocking.

I will add, though, that the Democrats are overly ineffective at actually combatting Trump, and the only saving grace they have is that Trump is such a piece of trash that they’ll likely see support grow in some areas because of it.

I’ll keep voting third party myself, as neither party is of any interest to me.

  21. I don’t know who Pogue Mahone(y) is answering two so I am totally confused by his confused and confusatory comment, perhaps.

  22. ACR,

Obviously, the MSM troll was answering the CIA troll directly above him.

For one thing, it’s not exactly a well kept secret that the MSM answers to the CIA.

For another, the CIA troll asked “You think? Ever?” AND the pogue mahone’s answer was obviously a long winded way of saying NO in some type of code.

Why the coded communistcation? Because these are published public comments. The answer may have also contained the reply to maybe?

One possibility thus suggested is that MSM POGUE MAHONE is AZ not Jones aka “Not MI AZZ”.

  23. So Pogue Mahone is from the Arid Zone? He’s not Tom Jones, or any Jones? He’s not Meshigeneh? And not in his AZZ, or not in the CIA’s ASS?

  24. Q: exactly.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    DJ T.

  25. Pogue Mahone(y) is an album by the Pogues as well as the band’s original name. It means kiss my ass in Irish.

  26. Redpath appears to be confusing the city of Waukesha with the county of Waukesha.

  27. Jim Riley,

I’m on a different path from Bill Red, but I am also confused. What is the difference between the two and why do you say he is confusing them?

  28. Pogue mahone and bob on me knob while I’m knapping in the stock’s , and while you’re down there, Mr. Trolls, don’t forget about me rocks…

  29. I’ve tried to figure out why Mr. Riley says Mr. RedPath has confused the city and county. I have not had any luck. Coverage elsewhere:

    https://wtmj.com/news/2026/04/07/decision-wisconsin-waukesha-has-a-new-mayor-common-council-president-alicia-halvensleben/

Alert: might be fake news since it refers to an “insurrection” on J6 of 2021.

“I Can’t Drive 55” is the lead single and first track from Sammy Hagar’s eighth studio album VOA in 1984. Perpetuated by a very successful music video, it became a concert staple that continued throughout Hagar’s tours as a member of Van Halen. The song is a reference to the since-repealed National Maximum Speed Law that set speed limits at 55 miles per hour (89 km/h) in the United States.

  30. Is Jim Riley kin to Shawn Reilly? There names are similar but spelt different? Maybe he has unique insights on this story?

Didn’t Mr. REDpath recently live near their in West Dumdee Illinois before moving to NW OHIO? Am I correct that you can drive 70ish miles from one to the other in about 1.5 hour’s?

  31. Communist Council President Alicia Halfenslaven will transition to mayor? Did she previously transition from male to female?

  32. Maybe Mr. Riley is objecting to Mr. RedPATH characterizing the city as affluent and usually Republican.

    According to woke pedos,

“The 2020 census population of the city included 351 people incarcerated in adult correctional facilities and 793 people in student housing.[48]

According to the American Community Survey estimates for 2016–2020, the median income for a household in the city was $65,688, and the median income for a family was $84,972. Male full-time workers had a median income of $59,800 versus $43,168 for female workers. The per capita income for the city was $34,785. About 7.5% of families and 11.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 18.1% of those under age 18 and 6.8% of those age 65 or over.[49] Of the population age 25 and over, 92.3% were high school graduates or higher and 38.7% had a bachelor’s degree or higher.[50]”

    And

“As of the 2020 United States Census, the (county) population was 406,978, making it the third-most populous county in Wisconsin. Its median income of $88,985 placed it as the only county in Wisconsin on the list of the 100 highest-income counties in the U.S. by median income as of 2020.”

Mayor Reilly used to be a Republican, but switched to independent after the J6 “insurrection” according to something linked by some Retard above a little over half an hour ago.

Waukesha county usually goes Republican. I’m too lazy to look up Waukesha city on that. Anyone else?

  33. Waukesha is a city in and the county seat of Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 71,158 at the 2020 census. Located along the Fox River adjacent to the Village of Waukesha, it is the seventh-most populous city in Wisconsin. Waukesha is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area.

Shawn N. Reilly is an American lawyer and politician serving as the mayor of Waukesha, Wisconsin since 2014. Originally a Republican, Reilly became an independent in 2021 following the January 6 United States Capitol attack and endorsed the Kamala Harris 2024 presidential campaign, citing concerns about Donald Trump’s influence on democracy.

On May 31, 2014, two 12-year-old Waukesha girls lured their friend into the woods and stabbed her 19 times. They did this to appease a fictional online character known as Slender Man.[38] The victim survived the attack after being found by a cyclist.[39] The two perpetrators were found not guilty by mental disease or defect, and were sentenced to long periods in mental health institutions.[40]

On November 21, 2021, the driver of a red SUV by the name of Darrell E. Brooks Jr. drove through the Waukesha Christmas Parade during its procession through downtown Waukesha late that afternoon, killing six people and injuring 62 others. He was sentenced to six consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole, plus an additional 763 years and 3 months to be served consecutively.[41][42][43]

  34. “While the city of Waukesha also leans Republican, it is not as strongly conservative as the surrounding county. Mr. Trump carried the city by six percentage points in 2024.

Democrats have flipped several mayoral seats over the last year, including in Omaha, Miami and Boca Raton, Fla. They have also performed well in special legislative elections. But it remains to be seen whether the party’s strength in those races, which often have lower turnout and attract the most engaged voters, will translate to midterm general elections in November.”

    Fake News Jerk Slimes

  35. “Lilly Goren, a political science professor at Carroll University in Waukesha, said there is more diversity in the city compared to the county.

“There is more of a diversity of voters — not just in terms of partisanship, but also in terms of who the voters are,” Goren said.

Halvensleben is not the first Democratic mayor of Waukesha. Democrat Larry Nelson served as mayor from 2006 to 2010.

Goren said she doesn’t believe the city of Waukesha is like the city of Omaha, Nebraska, which she called a “blue center in the middle of a big red space.”

“I think that the city of Waukesha kind of goes in a lot of different directions,” Goren said.

Current Mayor Shawn Reilly said the city is more “purple” compared to the county.

“Definitely the city of Waukesha has become pretty much a toss up, is what it appears to be in regards to whether it’s Democrat or Republican. But we’ll really find out come November,” Reilly said.

  36. Steve,

Rigged election? Yes. When demon rats “win,” especially when it’s not generally expected, it’s rigged. In this case a femocrat demon rat “won,” so it’s double suss. Female rats are usually the worst.

  37. Male rats are called bucks; unmated females, does, pregnant or parent females, dams; and infants, kittens or pups. A group of rats is referred to as a mischief.[6]*

The common species are opportunistic survivors and often live with and near humans; therefore, they are known as commensals. They may cause substantial food losses…

    * Halfenslavin is a communsal dam rat and part of the commie dam rat mischief unless she is a doe/doh!

……Chicago was declared the “rattiest city” in the U.S. by the pest control company Orkin in 2020, for the sixth consecutive time. It is followed by Los Angeles, New York, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco.[49] …..

Rats have the ability to swim up sewer pipes into toilets.[51][52] Rats will infest any area that provides shelter and easy access to sources of food and water, including under sinks, near garbage, and inside walls or cabinets….

When introduced into locations where rats previously did not exist, they can wreak an enormous degree of environmental degradation. Rattus rattus, the black rat, is considered to be one of the world’s worst invasive species…..

True rats are omnivorous, capable of eating a wide range of plant and animal foods, and have a very high birth rate. When introduced to a new area, they quickly reproduce to take advantage of the new food supply…..

(Democ)Rats are seen as vicious, unclean, parasitic animals that steal food and spread disease…..

supplies and other goods, or spreading disease. Their reputation has carried into common parlance: in the English language, “rat” is often an insult or is generally used to signify an unscrupulous character…

Depictions of rats in fiction are historically inaccurate and negative. The most common falsehood is the squeaking almost always heard in otherwise realistic portrayals (i.e. nonanthropomorphic). While the recordings may be of actual squeaking rats, the noise is uncommon – they may do so only if distressed, hurt, or annoyed. Normal vocalizations are very high-pitched, well outside the range of human hearing….

    A. Bertram Chandler pitted the space-bound protagonist of a long series of novels, Commodore Grimes, against giant, intelligent rats who took over several stellar systems and enslaved their human inhabitants…..

  38. The city of Waukesha is more of satellite of Milwaukee than a suburb.

If you were to compare Waukesha to Brookfield, you might say that Brookfield is an affluent suburb. You would never say that Wauwatosa and Waukesha were affluent suburbs of Milwaukee.

  39. It’s fairly affluent according to the census numbers, but less so than many parts of the surrounding county. Brookfield on the other hand has gone down hill according to the little but I read.

  40. Waukesha has a city administrator, so a mayor has less power than in a city such as Chicago, New York, or Houston. The mayor-elect is currently common council president, a position chosen from among the 14 aldermen. The current mayor was a Republican who endorsed Kamala Harris in 2024, and was featured in a campaign video with Tim Walz. The elections are non-partisan. They may have had been a slightly more partisan cast this year because the other candidate being a Republican state legislature. The partisan implications of a mayoral race in Waukesha are only slightly greater than a mayoral election in Eau Claire, a similary sized Wisconsin city, and Eau Claire does not have a mayor.
