On May 14, the Tennessee Democratic Party filed this reply brief in Hale v Lee, m.d., 3:26cv-603. The oral argument will be on May 20. In this case, the Democratic Party argues that it violates due process for legislatures to redistrict after the candidate filing has already closed. The brief says that if this behavior is constitutional, then legislatures can develop a habit of first seeing which candidates have filed, and can then decide which districts to alter or eliminate based on estimates of the strength of the listed candidates.
Mississippi and South Carolina have dropped the ball on district fairness for Whites, but Georgia, Florida, and ALABAMA have not. Neither have Louisiana or Texas.
I’m not counting the so called “upper south” states that waited until the evil tyrant Lincoln was actually inaugurated to secede. There are only seven true Southern States, named above. May they rise again soon and prevail!

Proportional Representation is of course a terrible idea that removes the 1 to 1 connection of a representative providing constituent services and replaces it with politicians pointing fingers at each other as for why things didn’t get done
It also makes vote counting more complicated, thus creating even more opportunities for the already insanely massive amount of vote counting fraud. Why take something so already terrible and make it exponentially even worse?
It doesn’t even work in Puerto Rico. A huge NO to proportional representation.
It wouldn’t get rid of any census problems since there is still a need to apportion seats between States.
But, a new census that asks a citizenship question, and is used to help round up and deport all illegal invaders and their families by database integration with geolocation, cell phone and satellite map data, drones, street cameras, ring cameras, universal e-verify, banking data, felony penalties for lying on the census, etc, is way overdue.
Blew States would lose unearned seats, as they should. No more sanctuaries for fraud and criminal invader alien scumbags. Get them all out and keep them out. Every last one. Now!
