On June 30, the Lincoln Party submitted approximately 74,000 signatures to place its nominee for Indiana Secretary of State on the ballot. This is double the requirement. This petition has collected more signatures this year than any other minor party or independent candidate. If the party polls 2% for Secretary of State, it will be ballot-qualified for the next two elections. See this story.

So much spambot fake news, so little time …
It just got a little tougher for the Libertarian Party of Indiana to get the 2% we need to keep our ballot status in that Secretary of State race https://www.lauriforliberty.com/events. Hey, don’t get me wrong, we’re all pluralists here. But it would be especially bad to lose our ballot status in Indiana. It’s been a jewel in our ballot access crown for three decades. Mr. Rainwater’s 11.4% for Governor in 2020 was built on the shoulders of giants from the 1990’s like Dr. Barbara Bourland, Steve Dillon, and Larry Lyles.
While I’m not remotely a Libertarian, I did vote for Rainwater in 2024, along with, in IN-03, Pepper Snyder back in 2016.
Hopefully the Libertarians have enough of a voting base that a new option on the ballot won’t deeply negate their totals. They seem a pretty put-together state chapter.
Indiana had an armed robber as chair. Think about that.
So all the other states will lose ballot axis soon?
