This is the lawsuit over Wisconsin’s new ban on out-of-state petitioners. Here is the ruling, which says that it would violate the Wisconsin Constitution to let the legislature intervene, given that the Wisconsin Elections Commission is fully capable of defending the ban.

Odd case. The bill was passed on a party-line vote by the Republican majority legislature, but signed into law by the Democratic governor. I would expect that the Americans for Citizen Voting PAC to be aligned with the Republicans. They had filed in a Wisconsin court, but the Wisconsin Election Commission being represented by the Democratic AG got the case moved into federal court. The Democratic governor and AG have been feuding with the Republican legislature for some time now, with the Republicans fearing that the Democrats won’t enforce their laws.
