Oh my, this is terribly sad news! Tearful at it. Sudden, but I’ve been largely out of contact. My heart goes out to Ruthi and David’s other dear ones.

David you were the heart of the movement and the heart lives on. Through all the years with MTA, Resist and Build,USSEN and most recently CAL SEN, it was a privilege to work with you. You were our keynote speaker at Human Agenda and I will ask that our Oct. 3 BREAK THE MOLD Conference in San Jose be IN MEMORIAM.
David was a joyful fighter for good. He made me feel welcome in the Party and was a whole lot of fun to be around. So glad he had love and life and moved the dial! Rest in Power David.

Thank you David for concisely and joyfully teaching me that the govt is subordinate to the people and corporations subordinate to the govt (i.e.doubly subordinate to the people).
He was extremely caustic, narcissistic, controlling, foul mouthed and an asshole. A jerk. Chauvinistic. Good riddance.
David’s deep understanding and succinct analysis of our country’s founding and faults, that so well informed the MoveToAmend.org movement, was invaluable to my understanding of the distorted history that the Oligarchy wouldn’t want us to know. He will be sorely missed. I suggest looking up, perhaps YouTubes? Of his talks. If every conscious American heard and understood his lessons, we’d be so much better off today. Miss you David!

My only experience of David was one of gracious kindness as we worked together to bring about the first private landback of the stolen land of the Wiyot people. Thanks for that David. An unexpected return to that great source, the ocean. I never met Ruthi, but know she was loved and will miss her life partner.

I was fortunate to know David Cobb for many yrs in many contexts. Even when disagreeing with cohorts, from what i saw he was a gentleman. When one is so passionate about such important causes, and so capable, it can b challenging to remain 100% diplomatic. From what i saw, he rose to that challenge, a very savvy advocate and organizer from the micro thru macro levels, deserving to b émulated and remembered in the panthéon of justice giants
Isn’t calling someone a foul mouthed asshole intrinsically self contradictory? Not having known the man – I met him once, on which occasion I don’t recall any use of impolite language – I can’t judge the merit of any negative or positive claims about him above.
