Isn’t that exactly what libertarians supposedly believe?
You did say you are one, and not a leftist commie, right?
So what’s worse: an open and legalized system of massive extortion by the state, or politicians having the fear of direct personal consequences for themselves if they vote to pass it?
Naturally, I hope we would all hope nobody has to be assassinated, and nobody passes an extortion tax , but maybe just the fear of an unlikely assassination changing q few legislatures votes would be enough to prevent the tax from getting passed?
Or is it better for libertarians to virtue signal how nice they want to be to politicians, while there’s no consequences for politicians to be not so nice to everyone else ?
Politicians can vote for massive extortion, not have any fear of any negative personal consequences, maybe even get lauded and elected over and over and moved up because they can then brag about all the goodies they give different groups of people with the extorted tax money. Tax? What tax?
Libertarians can’t do a whole lot about it given the huge disparity in political parties resources, votes, numbers and so on.
So how can they leverage what little people, time, attention and influence they do have, to stop things like state income taxes for getting passed ?
Or do you actually want to stop those kinds of things?
Or just to seem like you do?
If the second one, why?
Why not just own it and openly be a democrat and or leftist or socialist?
What’s the purpose of being.a libertarian and have a libertarian party that’s no threat to politicians when they take away people’s money, freedom, liberty, end anything and everything else?

Or the people reassuring those politicians and those who support them that they are safe to keep it up and do more of the same, and any libertarian who says anything different is causing harm to your party and movement?

How about truth in labeling then?
Change your name to House Slave Party or Overseer Party or Anti Libertarian Party or just join socialist or communist or democrat parties.
