On September 15, the Fourth Circuit heard oral argument in Hogarth v Bell, 26-1328. This is the case challenging North Carolina’s law that makes it a crime for a voter to take a picture of his or her voted ballot. Here is a link to a recording of the argument. The three judges were A. Marvin Quattlebaum, Allison Rushing, and DeAndrea Benjamin.
The U.S. District Court had upheld the law. The plaintiff is Susan Hogarth, an activist in the Libertarian Party.
Hogarth is a communist. Fact.
TAKING A PICTURE OF A VOTED GERRYMANDER BALLOT GIVES STANDING TO VOTER TO ATTACK GERRYMANDER RESULTS

PUTIN — KILLER GENERAL IS BAAACK
WHICH EVIL KILLER REGIME HAS THE MOST EVIL KILLER TOP MILITARY KILLERS ???
Funny how Hogarth claims to support speech yet wants to silence Austin Martin. Hypocrite.
It’s a stupid, archaic, and virtually unenforceable law, but then so is voting by ballot itself, particularly in an era of growing illiteracy among the youth, a trend which will only greatly accelerate. In a couple of generations, it’s unlikely that literacy will be above medieval levels. All votes should be by hand count or at least voice voting.

Regards the Nazi AZ 666 spambot Satanist Nazi propaganda from the Daily Satanist, it is of course laughable spin, but the underlying real story of General Surovikin’s long overdue return to prominence is excellent and very welcome news. Hail!
Viva voce, or better yet standing count, is far better than ballots with pictures, for multiple reasons. The only rationale for ballots is secret voting, which is both practically impossible with modern technology and a bad idea for multiple reasons to begin with.
Since the confiscation of the ballot by ballot access laws in the 1890s, the ballot is a government monopoly and considered government property. The content of a voted ballot is not the property of the voter as it was before the 1890s confiscation. What bipartisan fascist police state?
There is nothing specifically fascist about ir. Fascism hadn’t yet been invented in the 1890s. Authoritarianism, totalitarianism, tyranny, etc., are of course much older phenomenon, but not the same as fascism.
In the USA, the authoritarian government issued secret ballot was first adopted in authoritarian New England, and last in the more freedom minded states of Georgia and South Carolina, in 1925 and 1950, respectively.
If I recall correctly, the super pro freedom practice of in person voice voting was most recently used among US States In the relatively more pro freedom state of Kentucky.
I also like Stanley’s hand count solution.
It’s time to free ourselves of the failed experiment of ballot voting, both in its tree killing and even more fraud prone electronic forms.
See the Trump. Vote the Trump. I would never vote for anyone not named Donald Trump.
Never have and never will.
