That said, it sounds like the forces against this change will fund a lawsuit saying that this decision required the Maine Constitution to be amended, and is therefore unconstitutional and null and void. Ugh.

IRV ignores most of the data in a Place Votes Table — i.e. ignores compromise choices and makes it even easier for extremists to be elected.
