On April 1, a Vermont state trial court upheld a state law that lets Vermont towns decide for themselves whether to let adult non-citizens vote in local elections. The law had been challenged by several units of the Republican Party, including the National Committee.
No taxation without representation.
If legal immigrants own property in a place, and pay actual taxes, they should have a limited right to vote in that place
And, by the same principle, if anyone owns property in more than on place, and pays taxes in those places, they, too, should have a limited right to vote in all those places.
