The California Secretary of State has released a new Report of Registration, showing how many registered voters there are in each party, and how many independent voters there are. See it here.
The Common Sense Party, which is not a qualified party, has 26,630 registrants, still far from enough to qualify, but higher than it was at the last tally, when it was 20,813.
The new percentages are: Democratic 46.89%; Republican 23.88%; American Independent 3.50%; Libertarian 1.05%; Peace & Freedom .55%; Green .43%; Common Sense .12%; independent, miscellaneous and unknown 23.57%.
The percentages in May 2022, the last tally, were: Democratic 46.77%; Republican 23.93%; American Independent 3.42%; Libertarian 1.03%; Peace & Freedom .53%; Green .42%; Common Sense .09%; independent, miscellaneous and unknown 23.92%.
Glad to see the Green Party numbers are still rising, albeit very slowly.
Good for the Libertarian Party as it slowly increases its percentage.
Interesting when one looks at the details by county. In California, even though the Libertarians have 1.05% of the state-wide voter registration, they are not above 1% in the most populous counties (San Diego being the exception). The higher percentages of registered Libertarians are found in the more sparsely populated counties. Contrast this with Kansas. The Kansas Libertarian Party has over 1.18% of the state total, yet there it is the most populous counties that have the higher percentages of registered Libertarians, and it is the sparsely populated counties that have the smaller percentages of registered Libertarians.
No surprise the GOP is faltering in commiefornicata.
