No Labels had previously said it would hold a presidential nominating convention in Dallas in April 2024, but now the group has cancelled that plan. Instead it will have a virtual convention. See this story.

    Since they serve the same masters, there’s no need to spend money on takeover attempts. Divide and conquer works just fine.

  5. Reason magazine said that because of our number of candidates, our number of voter registrations, and because of our ballot access, the LP is clearly THE third party in the United States.

    Libertarians will likely come in 6th , 7th or 8th next year. They will probably not be on the ballot in every state, and some other parties besides Democrats and Republicans will be.

    Parties with misleading names that lead people to think their registering non party like Independent, Independence, American Independent, No Labels etc have an advantage and will soon pass the LP in registrations. It might be the 6th or 7th party in those in a handful of years .

    The number of candidates is going way down as the number of X posts goes way up. LP twits are no longer chasing votes or office, they’re chasing clout, likes, mentions, shares, reposts, viral loads, and the like.

Since No Labels sued Arizona to stop the Secretary of State from letting No Labels Party voters file paperwork to run for state or federal office other than President and Vice President, the number of Arizona No Labels Party primary candidates has doubled from two to four.     These candidates, unlike the ones that the convention was supposed to choose for a national campaign, will be chosen by voters, assuming No Labels loses in federal court.

  10. How would majority rule cut debt? Economic illiteracy and short sighted thinking are widespread. Most voters are shortsighted, and tend to reward politicians who promise government “benefits” to everyone while not raising taxes to match spending.

    Any politician who seriously tries to even cut the rate of spending growth, much less actually cut spending, insist on balanced budgets, or God forbid pay down the debt, usually gets punished and not elected again, or prevented from career advancement if representing an eccentric district electorate. Despite this, tax cuts are popular.

    Debt was under much better control when fewer people were allowed to vote, the federal government was less dominant over state and local governments, etc. Please show evidence that pure democracy leads to less debt, as opposed to more. If you have no such evidence, please stop lying.
