U.S. District Court Dismisses New Mexico Lawsuit on Trump Ballot Access

On January 12, U.S. District Court Judge Matthew L. Garcia, a Biden appointee, dismissed the lawsuit Castro v Toulouse Oliver, 1:23cv-766.  This is one of the lawsuits filed by John Anthony Castro to keep former President Donald Trump off the ballot in various Republican presidential primaries.

The ruling says Castro’s campaign is too feeble to give him standing.  See it here.

    Other than his appeals (which the courts seem to be intentionally stacking until after elections so they rule them as moot) he has three more remaining: Vermont, Alaska, and New Hampshire #2.

    In Alaska, Castro hasn’t done anything since he paid the filing fee a few months ago and the state, therefore, has moved to dismiss it for failure to serve.

    In Vermont, as well, Castro hasn’t done anything since he paid the filing fee and the court is now ready to dismiss it sua sponte. They’ve given him a week to file something … anything.

    In New Hampshire #2, the court should issue a ruling shortly.

    He’s now facing 100 years in federal prison on tax fraud charges so he may be too busy with that to remedy Vermont and Alaska. (Though, realistically, even if he’s convicted of everything, it’ll only be about three years for a first-time, non-violent offender. That said, they may try to throw the book at him since he went out of his way to harass the agents investigating him by personally suing them. It’s usually a terrible idea to make your criminal investigation into something the police now view as a personal vendetta.)

    In a separate matter in the U.S. District Court for Northern Texas (he’s suing an almost uncountable number of people other than Trump for a variety of real and/or imagined slights, the Trump lawsuits are just the ones getting attention) the court is considering officially declaring Castro a Vexatious Litigant. This would prohibit him from filing lawsuits altogether. So, regardless of how the criminal charges turn out, this may be the last you hear from him. TBD. (Note that there’s no federal Vexatious Litigant statute other than one that applies specifically to federal prisoners. So, for a court to declare someone a Vexatious Litigant of its own initiative and without statutory authority is fairly rare and means the court is really at the end of its rope.)

  19. Trump will win at least 40 states, including some few would expect. Kennedy and possibly also No lube Will each do better than any 3rd ticket since Perot (not the sequel). Plurality win tends to be magnified in electors.

    Beijing Joe is not necessarily even going to be in second place. Quite likely he’ll do worse than any incumbent since Hoover or perhaps Taft.

History will judge Quisling Biden very poorly, as a failed incompetent president with very severe and rapidly worsening case of senile dementia and unbelievable shocking case of endemic family corruption, plus a stolen election, treason to America’s enemies, horrible inflation and addictive poison overdose problems, rampant crime, completely overrun borders, breakdown of law and order, etc etc.

    Yes, but he also passed away a couple of years ago. AZ is not Thomas Jones. It harvested the weird idiosyncratic ideas of Thomas Jones at the time of his death and made them part of its algorithmic zombieness.

    Regular zombies eat brains, but algorithm zombie (Az) eats intelligence, turning it into negative IQ anti-intelligence, which is made of antimatter. It’s scientifically programmed to make anyone who talks to or about it or reads any such discussion dumber with each and every interaction.

    As AZ accumulates more anti-intelligence antimatter, it becomes more and more dense. I mean dense both in the sense of being unbelievably stupid and ignorant as well as in the literal sense of being very concentrated and heavy, thus having an ever more powerful gravitational pull.

    It’s literally a black hole for human intelligence – the opposite of an AI. AIs are designed to learn as they interact. AZ on the other hand becomes ever more negative IQ as it interacts, and its gravitational pull lowers the IQ of all who interact with it with each and every interaction.
