Alabama Governor Signs Bill Relaxing Presidential Candidate Deadlines

On May 2, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey signed SB 324, which eases deadlines for qualified parties to certify the names of the presidential and vice-presidential nominee and also eases the presidential petition deadline for independent candidates.

There is still no similar bill in Ohio.

  2. This illustrates one of the many problems with allowing women to vote and hold office.

  3. Why are people attacking a Republican governor for embracing freedom just because she wants to ease restrictions that are aimed at restricting third party and independent candidates?
