On June 30, the U.S. Supreme Court issued an opinion in National Republican Senatorial Committee v Federal Election Commission, 24-621. The opinion strikes down federal campaign finance laws that limit how much money a political party can spend on supporting its own nominees, even when the party and the candidate coordinate with each other.
