On August 14, the Republican Party of New Jersey notified a federal court that it wishes to intervene in Leguia v Caldwell, 3:26cv-10263. This is the lawsuit over the constitutionality of the ban on out-of-state petitioners. The Republican Party seeks to defend the ban.
Those dirty rotten scoundrels. The court in New Jersey already threw out the ban on out of state petition circulators in New Jersey on major party primary petitions, and I know for sure that Republican candidates in New Jersey have used out of state petition circulators. These people are hypocrites.
I suspect the Democrats will be next to intervene in favor of the ban. Using lawfare to cripple third parties and Independents is something both ruling parties agree on.
Good. Republicans finally taking a stand against fraud.

Stop out of state invaders. We are a republic. States have total control of their elections. Out of state signature gatherers should not be allowed. They are invaders, carpetbaggers and interlopers. The state of New Jersey should be allowed to set its own rules and not be subject to put of state invaders. Uphold the 10th Amendment. No one is being denied their 1st Amendment right. Voting and the electoral processs is not a fundamental right. The electoral process is a function of voting. The original U.S. Constitution does not establish a universal, affirmative right to vote for its citizens. The Voting Rights Act of 1965 should be abolished.
In conclusion, the state of New Jersey has the right to determine who has the right to participate in their electoral process. The electoral process starts with the collection of signatures to get on the ballot and ends with the votes of the people of New Jersey. Why should invaders to the state be allowed to take part in part of their process? Now people who are from out of state have the right to speak freely about New Jersey politics and arent denied their right to speak. However they dont have the right to participate in their electoral process. Meaning if they cant vote in their elections they shouldn’t be able to collect signatures for a campaign. All part of the electoral process.
Fin.
Lost Hope, do you also want to make it illegal for New Jersey candidates to hire out-of-state attorneys, or campaign consultants, or accountants, or speech-writers?
As for the term “invaders”, the out-of-state petitioners used in this lawsuit were from New York, right across the Hudson River from New Jersey.
New Yorkers cannot and should not be voting in New Jersey elections, nor petitioning for them. Double that when the candidate is a fat communist chick.
@Richard Winger it is up to the state of New Jersey. We are supposed to be a republic. The electoral process should be decided by the state of New Jersey. The electoral process is a mechanism for democracy. In my opinion campaign funds should only be from in state contributions. Just like federal government doesnt allow foreign contributions. The state should have its own autonomy. Attorneys, advisors and consultants are ancillary not essential functional part of a campaign. Canvassing can be from out of state as long as there are no official documents signed. Teh required parts of a campaign should be from state residents.
