Georgia Redistricting Lawsuits for U.S. House Likely to Begin Trial on February 7

The three Georgia lawsuits over the boundaries of the U.S. House districts will probably have a trial beginning February 7. The three cases are Common Cause v Raffensperger, Pendergrass v Raffensperger, and Georgia State Conference of the NAACP v State. Ohio Redistricting Commission Issues New Legislative District Boundaries, but Original Objectors Ask State Supreme Court to Reject New Plan

On January 26, the Ohio League of Women Voters asked the State Supreme Court to again reject the work of the Ohio Redistricting Commission. The State Supreme Court already rejected the commission’s original plan, and the League says the revised plan is also inadequate. Here is the filing in League of Women Voters of Ohio v Ohio Redistricting Commission, 2021-1193.

The Commission is also working on a revised U.S. House plan, but that isn’t finished yet.
