On November 7, 2017, the Green Party won ten partisan elections: eight in Connecticut and two in Pennsylvania. The Connecticut wins were in Windham, New London, Willimantic, and Waterford. The Pennsylvania wins were both in Burks County.
In non-partisan races, Green Party members won four races in California, two in Colorado, one in Massachusetts, two in Minnesota, two in New Jersey
On November 7, eight Libertarian nominees were elected to township offices in partisan elections in Pennsylvania. The Libertarian Party web page has the list. Also, around the nation, in non-partisan elections four Libertarian Party members were elected to various local offices.
Joe Scarborough, a former Republican member of Congress from Florida, and host of the Morning Joe show, writes in this op-ed that the U.S. two-party system is a disaster. Although his column doesn’t mention the term “multi-party system”, clearly that is what he is advocating.
Utah held a special election for U.S. House, 3rd district, on November 7. Here is a link to the state elections office showing election results.
