Charlottesville, Virginia, Elects an Independent to City Council

Charlottesville, Virginia held a partisan election for city office on November 7. An independent candidate, Nikuyah Walker, was elected to an at-large seat. She is the first independent on the Charlottesville city council since 1948. See this story.

Lewis County, New York, Elects Member of Independence Party to County Legislature

On November 7, the voters of Lewis County, New York, elected a member of the Independence Party, Randall LaChausse, to the county legislature, district 2. The election is partisan. LaChausse was also the nominee of the Democratic Party. See this story.

Pittsburgh Elects Independent to a Partisan Judicial Post

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, held a partisan election for judicial posts on November 7. An independent candidate, Mik Pappas, who was endorsed by Democratic Socialists of America, defeated a Democratic judicial incumbent for one of the posts.

Independence/Reform Party Nominee Wins Syracuse Mayoralty

On November 7, Syracuse, New York, held a partisan election for city office. Ben Walsh, who was not a major party nominee, but who was the nominee of the Independence Party and the Reform Party, won the election. See this story. Thanks to William Stevenson for the link.
