The North Carolina Libertarian presidential primary will list nine candidates, plus “No preference.” The nine candidates are Charles Ballay, David TimeTraveler Dunlap, Jacob Hornberger, Lars Mapstead, Chase Oliver, Michael Rectenwald, Joshua Smith, Mike ter Maat, and Toad.
The Utah state elections office has determined that the Green Party petition for party status has enough valid signatures, so the party is back on the ballot for both 2024 and 2026. Thanks to Dee Taylor for this news.
The Libertarian Party of Georgia and former Lt. Governor candidate Ryan Graham have appealed a US District Court decision that upheld a Georgia law that allows the Republican and Democratic party candidates the ability to form special committees that can raise and spend funds over the usual campaign limits.

Joe Biden is the only name on the Democratic primary ballot. Dean Phillips could have qualified with a petition of 2,500 signatures, but he did not submit a valid petition. The Tennessee Democratic Party could also have put Phillips on the ballot without the need for any petition, but it chose not to do that. The Florida and Tennessee Democratic Parties are the only state Democratic Parties so far that have acted against Phillips.
