On August 30, the Federal Election Commission updated its useful chart of 2024 primary dates, both for president and for congress. See it here.
There is still doubt about the New Hampshire, New York, and Pennsylvania presidential primary dates. Also it is still undetermined whether Idaho will have any presidential primaries.
On September 11, former Minnesota Secretary of State Joan Growe and some other voters filed a lawsuit with the Minnesota Supreme Court, seeking an order to prevent former President Donald Trump from appearing on either the Republican presidential primary ballot, or the general election ballot. Growe v Simon. The Minnesota Supreme Court has discretion on whether to accept this case or not. One of the other plaintiffs is Paul Anderson, a former member of the Minnesota Supreme Court. On the evening of September 11, Alabama filed this request with the U.S. Supreme Court. Allen v Milligan, 23A231. The state wants the U.S. Supreme Court to stay the order of the lower court for new U.S. House districts.
The other side must respond by September 19.
