New West Virginia Voter Registration Data

The West Virginia Secretary of State has released voter registration data for June 30, 2022. The totals: Republican 444,318; Democratic 382,559; Libertarian 9,714; Green 2,323; Constitution 125; other and independent 301,464.

Percentages are: Republican 38.96%; Democratic 33.54%; Libertarian .85%; Green .20%; Constitution .01%; other and independent 26.43%.

Percentages on September 30, 2020, were: Republican 35.69%; Democratic 37.48%; Libertarian .67%; Green .19%; Constitution .01%; other and independent 25.95%. The name of the Green Party in West Virginia is the Mountain Party. The Constitution Party is not ballot-qualified in West Virginia but the state still tallies its registrants.

New Maryland Registration Data

The Maryland State Board of Elections has posted registration data for June 30, 2022. See it here. Click on “Monthly Voter Registration Activity Reports.”

The percentages are: Democratic 54.11%; Republican 23.99%; Libertarian .42%; Green .16%; Working Class .10%; independent and other 21.23%.

On September 30, 2020, the percentages were: Democratic 54.99%; Republican 24.74%; Libertarian .34%; Green .14%; Working Class .04%; Bread & Roses .02%; independent and other 19.73%. The Bread & Roses Party is no longer on the ballot.

Illinois Libertarians Prepare to Submit Approximately 36,700 Signatures for Statewide Slate

July 11 is the Illinois deadline for petitions to place independent candidates, and the nominees of unqualified parties, on the ballot. The only group that has petitioned this year in Illinois for statewide office is the Libertarian Party, which expects to submit approximately 36,700 signatures. The legal requirement is 25,000.
