Associated Press Covers District of Columbia Write-in Counting Decision

The Associated Press has this story about the March 8 decision of a U.S. District Court that said the Constitution does not require elections officials to count valid write-in votes, if those officials feel it would be too much work and expense.

  1. Just to recap: DC refuses to put Barr on the ballot, forcing him to run as a write-in, and then they refuse to count his write-in votes. Wow.

  2. Again – the gerrymander Congress totally controls the D.C. regime.

    What does the D.C. code say about counting write-ins – for anybody — large votes or small votes ???

  3. What if those officials feel it would be too much work and expense to hold the elections? If the votes don’t count whats the point? This country needs a pro democracy movement.
