George McDonald, New York City Mayoral Candidate Who Sued to Overturn $4,950 Contribution Limit, Now Says He Will Participate in Public Funding Program

George McDonald, a Republican candidate for Mayor of New York city, sued the city last month over the $4,950 limit on how much an individual may donate to a Mayoral candidate. The case, McDonald v City Campaign Finance Board, is still pending in the State Supreme Court in Manhattan.
