Libertarian Party Has 344 Registrants in Oklahoma

The Libertarian Party was certified for the ballot on March 21, 2016, and already it has 344 registrants, as of April 7. The state now lists the Libertarian Party on voter registration forms. However, it is overwhelmingly likely that there are many old versions of the form in post offices, fire houses, and other places which make the forms available.

  1. Yes.

I don’t know if the elections officials went to all the trouble to identify the people who had written in “Libertarian” before March 2016, and restored them in the computer as Libertarians.

  2. Great news!

I doubt the elections officials would go to any trouble to identify the people who had written in “Libertarian” before March 2016.

I also doubt that Libertarians will collect old forms without the printed Libertarian option in order to force the authorities to replace them with updated forms.

  3. Please note that on May 1, this number will go up. Tulsa and Oklahoma counties, the two largest counties in the state, did not start processing voter registration forms until April 6 because there was an election on April 5 in both Counties. Those who turned in their registration forms before April 1, will have their party identification changed. So stay tuned for the new numbers.
