Politico has a story by David Siders titled, “The race for Governor has Turned Into a Scam.” The subtitle is “How California’s Democratic Primary Became a Giant Flop.” The story notes that no candidate has captured the imagination of the voters, that only 13% of the voters have seen any of the gubernatorial debates, and that the Democratic candidates have not engaged in a public discussion about issues.”

After the primary results are in, the winners will say it’s working just fine, and the losers will say it’s a disaster. The media will back the narratives of their favorites.
