Oklahoma Election Board Keeps Running Tally of Presidential Primary Filings

The Oklahoma Election Board web page has this running tally for presidential primary filings. The letters “M” and “T” besides each name indicates whether the candidate filed Monday or Tuesday. Filing ends on Wednesday, December 4.

Three parties are entitled to a presidential primary, but probably no candidate will file in the Libertarian presidential primary. Oklahoma has never held a minor party presidential primary before; in the past, when the Libertarian Party did successfully petition in Oklahoma, it didn’t finish the petition drive early enough to qualify for a presidential primary. But for 2020, for the first time ever, the party was already ballot-qualified and didn’t need a petition.

A Libertarian would have needed either a fee of $5,000, or a petition, which would have required signatures of twenty registered Libertarians in U.S. House district one, twelve in district two, nineteen in district three, twenty-one in district four, and twenty-three in district five. The total would be 95. This sounds easy, but it takes advance organization and it does not appear that anyone seeking the nomination did that work.

  1. If the OKLP chose to allow Independents to participate in their primary then the petition requirement would be a thousand signatures per congressional district.

  2. The United Coalition USA has filed my name James Ogle for President write-in campaign here in California and we’d like to file as a write-in in all 50 state so to bring the three-party system under limited voting.

The way it works, we ask all male voters to write-in and woman’s name for US President on a potential ticket and we ask all female voters to write in my name “Mr. Google” (or just Ogle) for US President.

That’s limited voting because only one vote is cast by each voter for a two-winner national election district.

Limited voting, one write-in name for a two-winner election district, brings the three-party system.

(Not “go” Ogle, go/stop is a,plurality vote. “1” Ogle is correct, ranked choice voting in multiple winner districts)

  3. Hey James, What the crap does that have to do with Presidential primary filings in Oklahoma?

  4. AA OK – party registrations ???

BB One more spread signature violation –

    Moore v Ogilvie, 394 US 814 (1969)

CC In how many States does the LP use the public system for LP Prez nominations ???

  5. EZK,

The reason why my post on this article is relevant is because Oklahoma is one of the 49 states where I haven’t achieved write-in status.

I ran for Prez in 1996, in 1997 Google founders joined our conversation, derived their name from mine and now I am running for Prez in 2020 again, so I want to capitalize on my name recognition since it’s on almost every phone worldwide.

    Here is some original video material from 1995 when Marcus Denoon [Pot] endorsed me before he dropped out for health reasons so I ran in his stead;

    “How Google Got Its Name”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tojwq3RWK7g

I was flattered when Google changed their search engine name in 1997, and now I want to capitalize on the name recognition. A women owned Googol.com in 1997 so without me they would have never been called Google and so anyone who used Google for free might vote for me.

Since Oklahoma is one of the 49 states where I haven’t filed yet ad a write-in name James “Google” Ogle, I want to get the word out now, so I posted it here.

I can get my nickname recognized and also unite with female Prez candidates under limited voting so to bring the correct math for pure proportional representation.

Limited voting must be done under my plan, one vote between two candidates, not like the US Constitution where Electors get two votes each.

The write-in status helps, some states might be able to get my name on the ballot, and by posting here it helps get the name out.

My name is a billion dollar gateway but I’m a street artist, so by posting my plan here I might be able to save the cost of a stamp, if one state L.P. chapter can get my name on a ballot.

  6. Ogle: You cannot be a write in candidate in Oklahoma because write in votes are illegal in Oklahoma. If anyone does write a name on their ballot then that ballot is invalidated.

  7. RS, the Oklahoma Election site;

“Voters who use the list of offices with the federal write-in absentee ballot should write the name of the federal office and district number, the name of the statewide office, and/or the state legislative district number and the name of the candidate for whom they wish to vote on the federal write-in absentee ballot form.”

  8. Just ignore Ogle. He belongs in the looney bin. Remember when he filed to run for president in the non existent 2014 election?

  9. James Ogle the actual quote from the Oklahoma Election Board FAQ reads,

“May I write in a candidate’s name on my ballot? No. Write-in voting is not permitted by law in Oklahoma. (There is one exception to this rule. In extraordinary circumstances military and overseas voters may write in names of the candidates for federal office when there is insufficient time for them to vote a normal absentee ballot. This is done on a special write-in absentee ballot.)”

That is the direct quote from the website. Not the misleading, lying, nonsense that you posted. Only military or overseas voters who for unusual, rare, circumstances can’t receive a normal absentee ballot.

  10. Write-ins in OK URL:

    https://www.ok.gov/elections/Voter_Info/Election_Notice_-_2018_Runoff_Primary_Election.html

All voters are asked to write-in a #1 on all ballots coast to coast and we’ve been using the correct math for pure proportional representation (limited voting) for our team since April 1st 1995 when Harry Browne the Libertarian won and 350 voters wrote in numerals correctly.

The party bosses can only use names “liar” and they have been blocking our team consistently for more than twenty-four consecutive years.

RS, I answered and corrected your comment, so we expect an apology.

Our team has been correct but we don’t get any respect.

Men, the only way, write in #1 for female name for US President #1, to defeat these chauvinistic males who are blocking the potential for changing history.

We are bringing “Article the First” to OK but the chauvinists are not interested and they are trying to block our team at every turn.

  11. DR, I filed for certification of James Orlando “Google” Ogle a few days ago but certification for write-ins in California don’t get published until late February.

I am working on Oklahoma now, waiting to hear back from clerk Misha, after she speaks to “Secretary of Elections” and I also emailed OK Senate leader Frank Simpson about both write-ins and about bring ratification of Article the First to the floor.

My campaign will be working on Article the First but I don’t have a lot of spare time, still looking for volunteer, my campaign manager can’t meet with me til January so I’m on my own.

  12. Call in every Monday night to collaborate with the Article the First team out of Kansas. Here’s the site:

    http://www.ourfirstright.org

We need one person from the assemblies in 39 States to introduce the vote and I’m trying to sign up Electors from every state too.

We want limited voting in every multiple-winner election districts for Congress under Article the First.

  13. MORE stuff the better to take notice and WIPE OUT the ANTI-Democracy stuff in Western Civilization.

Took about 5,000 years of recorded history to wipe out so-called *divine right of kings* – even up to 1945 in Japan.

    New monarch = the *state*.

  14. James Ogle and DemoRep. Imagine them in the same room. The incoherentness and looniness would be epic.

  15. James Ogle You “corrected” nothing. I will not apologize for proving that you are a liar. I will double down by saying that you are a fraud.

  16. James Ogle The link you added is referring ONLY to members of the military or overseas voters who have not received the normal absentee ballot. Write-in applies to ONLY that incredibly small number of potential voters. It does not refer to all voters in Oklahoma. James Ogle you are a liar and a fraud.

  17. Never thought I’d say this, but I agree with Robert Stock. Ogle is a liar and fraud. He’s also a spammer.

  18. “me” I am sure there is a lot that we agree on. None of our disagreements have been about libertarian philosophy. Our disagreements have always been about individuals who are active inside the Libertarian party. I am in favor of Laissez-Faire Capitalism, non-interventionist foreign policy, open borders, legalization of all drugs and prostitution, and I do not believe in the initiation of force to achieve political or social goals. I’ll bet you agree with me on most if not all of that.

  19. I can agree with most of that as well! I have my reservations about totally open borders (primarily related to health issues)but otherwise I’m in. I prefer “decriminalization” to “legalization” in reference to drugs and sex issues. I’ve always felt “legalization” infers sanction of an activity while “decriminalization” is more neutral. Just my personal tweaks.

  20. Decriminalization means its still illegal, it’s just only punished by a fine, rather than jail time.

  21. Robert, yes I agree with those basics. Of course, the details are what’s important, but those are good places to start.

  22. “Decriminalization means its still illegal, it’s just only punished by a fine, rather than jail time.”- Jim

I never heard that before. Do you speak as an attorney?

  23. Ogle again lied about the creation of the Google name. The domain “Google” was registered in September 1997 a whole month before anyone asked “what is a joogle.”

Ogle’s 2020 presidential campaign is about as real as his 2014 presidential campaign.
