No General Media Has Yet Mentioned American Independent Party’s Ticket

Although the American Independent Party, one of California’s six qualified parties, chose its national ticket three days ago, no general media has reported the party’s choice, so far.

No General Media Has Yet Mentioned American Independent Party’s Ticket — 27 Comments

  1. It was a huge blunder to not just nominate Kanye West for the presidential ticket. They would have gotten a massive stream of publicity and perhaps the greatest number of votes since 1968. I know that there are almost 150 comments in the AIP nomination thread however most of the commentators are ones that I recognize as people who regularly visit and post comments on this site, Independent Political Report, and American 3rd Party Politics.

  2. I agree, and most of said comments are just pointing out what a stupid choice they made and how spectacularly it’s going to backfire.

  3. Sorry — MAJOR media only detects major parties —

NOT small parties with EGO FREAK candidates.

Major media — too lazy and math MORON stupid to detect the ANTI-Democracy gerrymander math in the USA since Day 1 in 1776 —

1/2 or less votes x 1/2 rigged gerrymander areas = 1/4 or less CONTROL —

nonstop EVIL and VICIOUS statist monarch/oligarch MONSTERS making most laws

    — with worse and worse party hack lawless tyrant execs/judics making/enforcing their own laws.

TOTAL R-O-T and 666 occult STATISM.

  4. I don’t agree that Kanye West will get many votes in any state, or that he would have got many votes in California. Tonight I read that he is going on a vacation with his wife and the man who performed their marriage ceremony, and Kim and the minister are going to do their best to persuade him to drop out of the presidential race. And I have a hunch they will succeed. Even if he doesn’t drop out, no one who has got the kind of publicity he has had this year would get many votes. People don’t want to vote for someone who is said to have serious bipolar disorder that is not being treated.

  5. Well Richard you would know that the other third party candidates are also rarely talked about in the general media. If you look at two of the major third party candidates, which are Howie Hawkins and Jo Jorgensen you will see that none of the major networks have invited then for interviews only the local affiliates. Howie Hawkins has complained numerous times on this. You also rarely see any articles written about them in the general media. Kanye has far more articles written about him running in the election then the other third party candidates. Far more people view videos on him on social media like Twitter, Facebook & YouTube regarding 2020 election then on Jorgensen and Hawkins. In the general media, the latest article written on him about the election was this week about him congratulating Harris in being the democratic VP pick.

Yes surprisingly none of the general media has mentioned about the American independent ticket. Perhaps it is because Kanye is just nominated as the VP. I still think that this duo would do better then a lot of the previous third party candidates that were nominated by AIP.

Rocky De La Fuente in 2016 had one major network, Univision interviewing him. Up to now this has not been the case in 2020. Really seems that the general media only want to talk about Biden and Trump.

  6. Richard, in the event that Kanye does drop out, would he still remain on the ballot for the handful of states that he was qualified for or does he still have time to remove his name from those ballots?

I was under the impression that once the ballots start printing, the candidate’s name is stuck on it regardless of whether or not they are actively campaigning.

  7. Each state has it’s own rules. Oklahoma, for instance, will allow a candidate to drop out through the Friday following the date that any runoffs are held. So Kanye, and Jade Simmons and Brock Pierce, could withdraw here up through the 28th of this month. I believe they’d also get their $35,000 back. Options elsewhere will depend on that state’s law.

  8. END of having olde ballot add-on sticker candidates due to jamming stuff with scanner ballot machines ???

  9. This is no surprise. The mainstream media is biased, and is in bed with the status quo parties.

  10. No state can print any general election ballots until after August 24, the day the Republican Party chooses its nominees officially.

  11. “People don’t want to vote for someone who is said to have serious bipolar disorder that is not being treated.” – You mean like also not wanting to vote for someone who clearly has dementia? Well OK, Richard.

  12. No one seems to know if Darcy Richardson has withdrawn as Rocky de la Fuente’s running mate as a result of this. Any update?

  13. Justin Amash didn’t have the delegate votes to win the nomination so he dropped out.

  14. Justin Smash likely would have won the LP’s presidential nomination if he had announced that he was running for it sooner, and if he had not dropped out.

I am not necessarily saying he should have won it had he done these things (this is open to debate), I am just saying that he’d have stood a very good chance of winning.

  15. Justin Amash should have sought the Libertarian Party’s nomination to keep his House seat.

  16. The media is basically allowing people only controlled freedom. We don’t have true freedom. The media and internet companies are now overlords and quasi communication ministers. I mean everyone in this country knows George Floyd’s name. He has higher name recognition than Mike Pence. So the media will play hide and seek with Kanye West. So people won’t consider him as a choice even only as a protest voice. Secondly the media has a narrative and being counter to the narrative will get the wrath of overlords.

  17. @Liberty Green
Michigan uses a straight-ticket device which would make an independent or 3rd party attempt almost hopeless

  18. Well he wasn’t going to win the presidency either. I’m not saying he would have won, I’m saying he should have ran.

  19. Rocky’s only on the ballot in California, where he faceplanted once already in the AIP primary and where Biden’s ahead by millions of votes. Honestly, why would Rocky deserve any coverage?

  20. Hi Demo Rep- What kind of gerrymanders were going on in 1776 and later under the AOC?

  21. Gerrymander math noted in early 1700s – esp in PA colony.

IE — urban v rural for centuries.

Rotted extreme G math in 1963-1964.

SCOTUS invented equal census pop / dist stuff in 1964 USA and States gerrymander cases.

TOO moron stupid to detect that ONLY VOTERS VOTE.
