Whats a reasonable percentage?

Arguably it shouldn’t be based on a percentage at all. 5000 signatures (from any individual regardless of the party affiliation) is enough to show a reasonable effort on the part of the candidate that they are seriously running for office, regardless of state. That’s less than one percent of the population, even in Wyoming.
France only requires 500 from existing office holders country wide to run for president; it’s asinine to require more than 10 times that in a country that is only 5 times the population.

We have a two party system. Democrat and Republican. Honestly that’s one party too many, we could honestly do without the republicans haha. Also America is fragmented enough because of the corruption and insurrection within the Republican Party, why in the world would we need or even want to cause even more fracturing by adding third, fourth, and fifth parties. No no no!!! All we need is for the democrat party to declare the republicans enemies of democracy and ban them from participating in (voting) or holding public office at any level, to include even positions in neighborhood watches!! After the civil war, the confederates were banned from holding office, and sconce the republicans attempted to overthrow, through insurrection, the US Government, they should be banned for life, all of them, forever!! Let another party take their place or better yet, give the control entirely to the democrat party, after all, they know what is best for us and society and aren’t afraid to use the reins of government to help guide the people!!!
