Nebraska Bill to End Letting Each U.S. House District Choose its own Presidential Elector

Nebraska Senator Loren Lippincott (R-Central City) has introduced LB 764, which would end the Nebraska tradition of letting each U.S. House district elect its own presidential elector. Similar bills have been introduced many times in the last decade but so far they haven’t passed. Thanks to Josh Putnam for this news.

  1. ONE MORE GERRYMANDER MACHINATION —

IE WIPEOUT A DONKEY EC VOTE IN OMAHA.

  2. Choosing Presidential electors by district is the best way to contain any attempted vote fraud. It confines the effect of any extensive fraud to one district, and only affects the outcome of one electoral vote.

  3. Bicameral legislatures are better. Legislators should “think twice” before they pass anything. Sometimes, even that is not enough.

  4. A strong Executive makes more sense. Maybe the other branches should just be advisory if most. One powerful decision maker should be responsible for making the decisions, just like the Boss at work, the Husband at home, the Commanding Officer in the military, the Pastor in church etc. God of course is the ultimate Boss of all Bosses.
