The Bemidji Pioneer, a newspaper in the northernmost part of Minnesota, has published this letter to the editor from Rebecca Whiting. The letter criticizes Democrats in the Minnesota legislature for making ballot access worse.

  1. No Republican legislator in either house voted for the bill. One of the House Republican committee members conspicuously wadded up his copy of the letter from the Republican Party state chair that endorses the bill, and threw it into a wastebasket.

    Wow, good for him. Throwing that bill in the trashcan is exactly what this bill deserves. This guy just earned some respect from me.

  3. Birds all over your metro area are delighted to have their cages lined with such fine, well put sentiments. Politicians, I suspect, don’t give nearly as much of what the birds are leaving on said printed material, regardless of how logical and well expressed the arguments therein. Bird brains, after all, are much more highly evolved.
