Yesterday I posted a story about an Approval Voting initiative petition that is currently circulating in Missouri. Another initiative petition that is circulating is for Ranked Choice Voting that, according to a story on kfvs.com, the link for which is below, would eliminate primaries in Missouri and have all candidates run in the General Election, with the winning candidate elected through RCV.
According to Ballotpedia, at least 107,426 signatures of MO registered voters will need to be collected to place any initiative on the November 2024 ballot. That number could be higher if more highly populated congressional districts are targeted by petitioners.
I also applaud the writer of this story who corrected Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft’s mischaracterization of RCV.

The only partisan elections the Communist Party ever won in the United States were in New York city in 1941, 1943, and 1945, but New York was using proportional representation at the time for city council races.

Nothing in your rant was a single thing Trump did. You mentioned things Hitler, Mussolini, and Japanese fascists did. You mentioned a very exaggerated account of what a few Trump supporters who got carried away and ignored his call to protest strongly but peacefully and legally, plus antifa scum disguised as Trump supporters to make them look bad, did. But nothing at all about what Trump himself did, ordered or asked anyone to do, or had any control over.
Even if Trump had approved J6 rioting, which there is zero evidence for, that would make him like hundreds of other dictators or would be dictators in the decades since. He’d have to do a lot more than that to rise to the level of Mussolini, much less Hitler. AZ has no facts, no logic, and no argument.
I asked for five things Trump did that AZ claims made him a tyrant. He replied with zero things Trump did. There were American Presidents who invaded and occupied countries, had opposition leaders arrested, started wars that killed a lot of people, and did a lot of things that came a lot closer to tyranny than anything Trump ever did.
If AZ had anything at all to offer to show that Trump was, is, or will be a tyrant, he would have posted it by now. He has not done anything of the sort. Just insinuations, lies, and irrelevant ranting about how bad Hitler, Mussolini, and WWII era Japanese leaders were. No one said they weren’t bad, at least that I saw.
