I grew up in a predominantly Dominican neighborhood with lots of Puerto Ricans and Cubans (and these days also Mexicans and Central Americans, Venezuelans etc…not so much then) and …
had , and still have, loads of friends, girlfriends, biological kids and grand kids and great grand kids, employees, employers, bros who would lay down our lives for each other, of every race and ethnicity including plenty of Puerto Ricans.
