Brief Filed in New Jersey Lawsuit Over Primary Ballot Format

Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Andy Kim has a lawsuit pending in federal court against the New Jersey primary ballot format, in which candidates favored by the party organization are given a far better spot on the June primary ballot than other candidates from that same party. On March 11, Kim filed a brief in response to the request from the Camden County Democratic organization to intervene in the case.

Kim points out the contradiction in the Democratic Party’s position. On the one hand the Camden County Democrats argue that they should be allowed to intervene, because the party has a favored candidate in the primary and the party wants to defend giving her the best spot on the ballot because it has an interest in boosting their favored candidate. On the other hand the party, as well as the government defendants, argue that ballot position doesn’t really effect voter behavior and thus does not matter.

Kim’s brief highlights this logical contradiction. Here is is. Kim v Hanlon, 3:24cv-1098.

WASHINGTON ― President Joe Biden released a federal budget Monday that carves out new social programs for housing, health care and child care and reduces the deficit by $3 trillion over the next decade by raising taxes on corporations and the wealthiest Americans.
Biden’s $7.3 trillion budget for the 2025 fiscal year − a 4.7% increase over the current budget − seeks to boost defense spending by 1% and non-defense discretionary spending by 2.4%.

  2. I agree with Kim Jong Un. If there’s only one candidate for each position on the ballot, ballot placement is no longer an issue.

We need to allocate all resources efficiently through central planning, including candidate and election resources. One candidate per office is maximum efficiency.

So why even have elections at all, you may ask? It gives the workers a chance to demonstrate their unanimous support for the decisions of the collective, which is a great boost to the morale of the workers and thus to the joy and productivity of the collective.

  3. I really hate being Stock’s bitch, but I can’t help it. I’m so scared of Stock, I wet my bed every night and pee myself constantly. Maybe that’s why everyone calls me WeeAll.

  4. joy and productivity of the collective.

    — STARVING TO DEATH IN COMMIE NK WHILE NUKES ARE MADE TO ATTACK THE USA/ SK/ JAPAN/ ETC.

  5. No one is actually starving to death in the DPRK, or even starving at all. Capitalist propaganda is incredibly silly.

They do produce weapons for defense, not attack. It’s highly rational, given the insane fear the capitalists have of the DPRK and the shining beacon of hope it represents to oppressed workers in every other country.

  6. USA COMMIES MOVING TO NK WORKERS *PARADISE* ASAP ???

NK DEAD FED TO PIGS — FOR TOP NK KILLERS TO EAT LATER ???

  7. Workers revolution here is more important. Also, I have people who wouldn’t move who I’m responsible for and to – friends, relatives, neighbors, family. And plants and animals. There’s nobody to replace me for many of my responsibilities.

Maybe you don’t have a life and are therefore free to move anywhere in the world you feel like moving on a whim. Most of us don’t have that kind of luxury.

I’ve actually been to the DPRK. Have you? I highly doubt it, given the level of nonsense in your comments.

  8. STATISTS ATTACKS ALWAYS FOR *DEFENSE* —

  9. If Taran thinks he’s a communist, he should see my budget proposal. It makes Kim Jong Un look like the love child of Ayn Rand and Murray Rothbard.

  10. Murray Rothbard? Did he ever even have a job in the private sector? As for Ann O’Connor, she was a social security and Medicare recipient. Actions speak louder than words.

  11. How would we know how many books you wrote, Thomas? I doubt anyone read any of them. You write a book’s worth of gibberish in BAN comments every week or so, and none of it does anyone any good or move any of your proposals forward an inch.

Rothbard wrote a lot; nobody can dispute that. But as realist pointed out, actions speak louder than words, and Professor Rothbard was a government employee at state funded universities (Brooklyn Polytech and UNLV). Imagine Charles Manson spending his life in prison writing a whole bunch of books on ethics and leadership by example and you get the idea.

If I had to pick people who exemplify capitalism, I’d start with actual capitalists – Elon Musk, Sara Blakely, etc. Not government workers who opine about free markets while making their own living off taxpayer money.

BTW, is there something I’m supposed to learn about Rothbard at the Woke Pedo fake news site that I don’t know already, or why did you include that link? I’ve read a fair bit of what he wrote. I’ve also sat in his office. At a government university.
