On April 20, the Seventh Circuit stayed an order of the U.S. District Court in the case involving whether university and college ID cards can be used as voter ID in the May 4, 2026 primary. See the order here. It says that the U.S. District Court should not have issued injunctive relief to the plaintiffs, who are college students and who had sued over the 2025 law that says university and college ID cards can no longer be used to vote. The Seventh Circuit said the primary is so close (May 4) that the lower court should have left the status quo in place. The Seventh Circuit said nothing about the merits of the case, which involves equal protection and discrimination against students.
The three judges are Michael Brennan and Michael Scudder (Trump appointees) and Joshua Kolar, a Biden appointee.
Are student IDs good enough to allow boarding on an aircraft?
Only Real ID or a passport are good enough for that. Even a standard driver’s license isn’t good enough.
College IDs can be easily forged.
It should definitely not be easier to vote than to get on airplane. Voting involves the possibility of doing far more damage than any airplane could possibly cause.
@RW,
Texas has been issuing Real ID driver’s licenses since 2016. The last time I renewed my driver’s license, I had to show my birth certificate.
HOW EASY IS IT TO FORGE OLDE BIRTH CERTIFICATES ???

SCOTUS — BRAIN DEAD IGNORANT ABOUT 2 AMDT AND BLC
If we don’t allow toddlers, bots, space aliens, Indian Indians in India, potentially future possible undocumented migrants, mentally challenged felons, prisoners, aliveness challenged persons, companion animals, non-companion animals, plants, fungi, bacteria, viruses, reality-challenged characters, AIs, AZs, etc vote as many times as they feel inspired to, that’s racist! And that means it’s bad! Very, very, very bad!
In order to compensate for the long standing injustice of disenfranchisement of all those types of persons, we need to affirmatively disenfranchise the legacy voters who do not belong to any of the newly enfranchised classes of voters.
This temporary balancing of the scales must continue until we get perfect global equality in income and power among all persons, global zero carbon emissions, an end to individual and personal property, one world government, 100% transitioning of all persons, redistribution of DNA to ensure one race of humans, elimination of the human virus, and every other woke progressive idea.
We might also settle for complete elimination of legacy type persons. They could be turned into delicious snacks, perhaps for underprivileged persons or species, entertainment persons, educational exhibits, biofuels, etc.
I say we eat the rich, and by rich I mean the global 1%. Look up whether you are part of the global 1%, and if you are, prepare yourself to be as delicious as you can.
It’s important to allow student IDs to vote even if they are forged. They should not be made to feel like they are being discriminated against and made to feel like they are lesser IDs than those that have graduated to being real IDs, being IDs of real persona, really being issued by so called real accredited institutions, being issued to persons who were previously unfairly given exclusive monopolies over voting, etc.
Everyone must be allowed to vote, early and often, regardless of where or whether they live, were born, died, etc, just as long as they vote for global intersectional diversity, inclusion, equality, redistribution, reparations, reeducation, and all the other good things.
Just because an ID is studying to become real, or not, that should be its choice, it should not be subjected to graduation or grading requirements. Those requirements are inherently discriminatory and unfair. We need to be inclusive and fair, as can be judged by the outcome.
Only a 100% consensus for perfect communist utopia with 100% participation at a bare minimum can be acceptable. Until then, we need more inclusion, fairness, reeducation, affirmative great leaps forward, etc.
