All of the Illinois statewide petitions for minor party and independent candidates have been challenged. They include the petitions of the Green Party, the Independence Party, the New Party, and the independent gubernatorial candidacy of Collin Corbett.
The lemon (“libertarian”) party didn’t even try, I take it.
“Free and fair elections” in Illinois for ya. What a farce.

The letters are too small to read there.
Surprise, surprise….Not!
Lemon Party is Over —
Clearly showing your ignorance and stupidity. You try petitioning for a statewide race when the national party (which was controlled by the Misnamed Caucus for four years) drove away so many volunteer petitioners from the party.
You try negotiating with paid petitioners below $10/valid signature, which was essentially impossible in Illinois this year. National snubbed us, as well as New York, when it came to the funding of such ballot access drives.
We petitioned, but we didn’t even reach 10% of the requirement, so there was no point in entertaining filing petitions because ISBE won’t entertain petitions unless at least 2,500 signatures were collected.
As a matter of fact, the Corbett/Schofield campaign had to pay as high as $12/valid signature due to the hostility of paid petitioner firms (according to a source I spoke to that wished to be anonymous), costs intentionally inflated by these firms that normally cater to the duopoly. (And they still might not have enough valid signatures.)
Joshua H. — Ain’t that the damn truth. LP Illinois is working with the Ballots Without Barriers campaign led by former 2024 Libertarian presidential hopeful Lars Mapstead. More information is available on that campaign at https://www.ballotswithoutbarriers.com/.
