  1. The AZ spambot was not programmed with the correct databases and search functions.

  2. The only US county with a population of under 100 is Loving County, Texas, all of the residents of which live and work on one ranch.

  3. Must be something in the water out west that way; reminds me of Rick Jore from Montana twenty some odd years ago – elected to the state legislature as a Republican, switched to the Constitution Party, narrowly lost the next two elections, got screwed on the next one and then finally outright won as a CP candidate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rick_Jore

  4. @Real Facts,

You may be confusing Loving County with either King County or Kenedy counties. Much of Kenedy County is part of the King, Kenedy, or Armstrong ranches, though the HQ of the King Ranch is in Kingsville in Kleberg County (corporate HQ is in Houston). About 38% of King County (no relation to King Ranch) is in the 6666 Ranch.

Loving County is notable for having many more oil wells than people, and most of the royalty owners live elsewhere. At one time it had many more voters than residents, with the excess voters voting absentee from elsewhere. Nowadays large numbers of oil field workers stay in man camps for their two to three week stay in the county.

  5. @Jeff Becker,

Definitely something in the water at Thermopolis. Hot Springs at 127 degree Fahrenheit contain 27 minerals. Visitors may take a constitutional after soaking in the baths.
