If Alabama does that, a reported U.S. District Court precedent, Hall v Bennett, 212 F Supp 3d 1148, says that the state must reduce the number of signatures for minor party and independent candidates, because the normal two years for petitioning would not be available.

We need an all-Republican delegation. Maybe even an all-Republican legislature. If it happens to be all White, I’m not going to shed a single tear about it. If there are some non-White conservatives in there, that’s fine too.
Thank God for Ron DeSantis and Florida. They are going to push the redistricting battle in the right direction and, let us all pray, thus win the war. We do not need the demon rats taking control of congress yet again. They have done more than enough damage to our country already.

Alden is engaged in an intellectually lazy shortcut, as a way to avoid the cognitive dissonance of dealing with arguments and viewpoints he or she has relegated to a mental cubbyhole of being wrong, unpopular, and extreme, because the globalist controllers of acceptable opinion have decreed it so.
Consciously or not, Alden is acting as a security guard for them, trying to make sure other readers, whether they engage or not, don’t consider those views or arguments either.
At least from my side of the conversation, however, I’m entirely willing and able to engage in rational and logical examination of the truth or falusity of my views and arguments. I’m willing to be at least as polite and dispassionate as whoever I talk to, anyone from any perspective and when ever time allows, etc.
I’ve changed my views many times over many years, including over 40 years online ever since Usenet days (at least since 1982) through this process. Unfortunately, it seems to be increasingly rare among the younger generations, particularly among those from the political left, who prefer to just shut and shout down “politically incorrect” views rather than engage them honestly and thoughtfully.
I’ve always been what AIden might call far right – the great Lester Maddox was a family friend, good friend of my father’s, and my political mentor – but I’ve changed specific views through discussion.
I have a suspicion my views aren’t nearly as rare or extreme as AIden would have you think. And even if they are, I could still be right and he or she could still be wrong.
Do any of you have the time, ability and courage for a real conversation?

I can’t speak for anyone else but I’m just me, bubba. I’m not on a comment farm, I am just me. I happened to find an article here in a search maybe a year or two back and check in every once in a while because there was some back and forth when I commented.
It’s not any more than that. I’ve left maybe a couple dozen comments on a few articles here and there, usually about Alabama. That’s all. I don’t read near every article much less comments here. When I do read and article I take a glance at comments just because y’all so stupid and it’s entertaining.
I’m an actual Alabama Republican of the conservative MAGA variety. I used to be a Democrat back when they were conservative down here and changed over slowly starting with federal races. I only went third party back when Governor Wallace ran Independent. And I wasnt old enough to actually vote that time because you has to be 21 then but I volunteered.
The best part of this site for me is the comments. It’s the main reason I ever come back. Sometimes I play off other comments when I leave one, but my views are actually honestly here just sometime exaggerated a little for fun and use crazy terms yall come up with here. Nothing more than that.
