Charles attempted to get on the ballot, but did not succeed in meeting the 10,000 signature requirement. She has continued to campaign. Here is her website.

My apologies to one and all for not posting this earlier today, but this is the Natal Anniversary of Richard Winger. I certainly don’t know what I would do without him, and you probably don’t either. May we celebrate August 27 with him many times into the future.

California Supreme Court Won’t Stop Special Statewide Election on Redistricting

U.S. District Court Strikes Down Alabama State Senate District Boundaries

On August 22, U.S. District Court Judge Anna Manasco, a Trump appointee, struck down the Alabama State Senate district boundaries under the federal Voting Rights Act. Alabama Conference of the NAACP v Allen, 2:21cv-1531. Here is the decision.
